Travels

There are three airlines that fly into Gaborone:

  1. Air Botswana – The Botswana national carrier and flies directly from South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. This is recommended as the connecting flight through Johannesburg as there will be travel packages in place. It is also the carrier of choice for delegates wishing to take a few days off to travel to the World famous tourist attractions such as Okavango Delta
  2. Kenya Airways – The Kenya national carrier brings many advantages for the traveller coming to Botswana:
    • Direct flight into Botswana almost daily, which eliminates the need for a transit visa through South Africa
    • 10% discounts on all published fares for participants/delegates on flights operated from Africa and Asia destinations
    • Kenya Airways flies to 64 destinations within Africa/Asia/Middle East and Europe.
    • Over the past year Kenya Airways have worked with SADC, United Nations, Commonwealth, for transportation of their delegates to Botswana within the network route.
  3. Ethopian Airways – Ethopian Airways has limited flights into Gaborone Botswana, and has an extensive network across Africa to enable smooth travel to Botswana
